THE FUTRE IS FOR SALE, BUY IT NOW!

This man at age 52, was soaked with the showers of pains, the days were as dark as nights to him. Realizing he had become a failure and tired of this world, he was about to commit a suicide act before I met him. After successfully taking the gun away from him and saying some initial words to calm him down, I asked to know the situations and happenings that could have led him into a condition like this. He made a lengthy narration of his pitiful life journey and how he ended up in shambles. At his conclusion, he made a statement that caught my utmost attention
; if only the future was for sale, I would have bought a better and promising future for myself. At this point, I cut-in immediately, reversing his statement thus; Sir, the future is for sale. Surprised at my reversing statement, he asked how possible it is, and sought for more explanation on this. I started explaining thus:

God gave time just one obligation; to cause change. The future is simply the result of our inputs to our present time. The things we spend our present time doing, definitely determines the outcome of our future. For this reason, the future remains for sale to every human, and can be bought only by you with only one currency; commitments to our present time.

There is seed time, as well as harvest time. Now is the seed time. We will only reap the dividends of what we sow now. When we sow wisely by proper and positive utilization of our time, hard work of the mind, with God on our side, we are paying the price for a better and expected future and we will enjoy such future as ours when the time comes. On the other hand, when we fill our present time with laziness of the mindset, sin and lasciviousness, we are also paying the price for a future; a sorrowful future. Having explained to this point, he understood what I meant and made a confessing statement: I caused it all, I bought this bad future for myself.

Life’s too short, we’ve got not much time here, therefore we ought to manage wisely every second of our life. Remember, great men don’t live for today, they live for the future.
