JOHN VON NEUMANN
Born: 28 December 1903 in Budapest, Hungary.
Died: 8 February 1957 in Washington DC., U.S.A.
Every high school or college student of sciences, probably might have come across the above mentioned name. John Von Neumann was unquestionably a genius. As a child, Von Neumann showed he had an incredible memory. At the age of 6, he could tell jokes in classical Greek and could divide two 8-digit numbers in his head. By the age of 8, he was familiar with differential and integral calculus. He could recite books he had read years earlier word for word. He could read a page of the phone directory and then recite it backwards. On one occasion, it took Von Neumann only 6minutes to solve a problem in his head that another Professor had spent hours on using a mechanical calculator.
He published a definition on ordinal numbers when he was 20, the definition is the one used today. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics when he was 22years of age and his doctorate in mathematics at age 23.
Von Neumann is perhaps most famous as the man who worked out the complicated method needed to detonate an atomic bomb.
The above biographical lines are not just meant to portray the prodigy of John Von Neumann, but to bring to our understanding, the area of life(academics: a genius in mathematical calculations) he was good at, and how he applied his God-given knowledge for the good of himself and his society.
Likewise, this is the kind of story that should be told in the life of every individual on earth.
Practically, every individual is Divinely endowed with a special/distinguished capability that can earn him or her prowess of a purpose-fulfilled life. This can only be possible when we discover, pursue, explore and actualize such Divine gifts.
As our faces differ individually, so do our capabilities differ. These capabilities can be: acting, engineering, talkativeness, dancing, sporting, technology, fighting, stealing, philosophy, and so on. None of these gifts is the best or the worst.
I know a childhood friend who could 'smartly' make-away with another's possession at the moment; maybe a valuable in your pocket or materials you're holding in your hands, even as you're having discussions with him. He was notorious for such acts. But on the positive view, this friend has the super-ability to work as a nation's Undercover, and will be among the bests in such work.
It's all about achieving your life destiny. Don't try to copy or follow another's destiny; you will never make it excellently, though you might get to be fairly good at it.
Be proud of your distinctive capability, work hard towards it positively and hit records. That's whom you're born to become.
